There are medications and topical creams that should be discontinued at least five days before waxing – All RetinaA and Retinol products, and prescription acne products. If Acutane has been used you should wait one full year before waxing. You should never wax over a sunburn.
To achieve the best waxing results, the hair needs to be at least a quarter of an inch long. The wax will have a hard time pulling anything shorter.
